Abigail Paine was born on August 3, 1707 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Hannah (Higgins) Paine.

Abigail married Thomas Higgins on October 12, 1727 in Eastham. They continued to reside in Eastham where they had at least eight children including Phillip, Thomas, Benjamin, Jonathan, Jesse, Thankful, Sarah, and Solomon.

Abigail passed away in Eastham after 1744, her year of death thought to be about 1789.
