Private Benjamin Paine served with Rhode Island Militia during the American Revolution.

Benjamin Paine is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A085948.

Benjamin was born 21 May 1749 in Rhode Island. He passed away 31 March 1831.

Veteran of the American Revolution. He enlisted and served as a Private in a Rhode Island State Regiment under the command of Col. Crary at least twelve months, and, to the best recollection of his widow in the pension application, he served under Capt. Tourtellot in 1778 or 1779.

Husband of Anna Aldrich Paine, married at Gloucester, RI on Oct 15,1770.

Children: Dorcas Paine, Hazael Paine, Lydia Paine, Benjamin Paine Jr, Amasa Paine, Drusilla Paine, Caleb Paine, Phebe Paine, Ransom Paine, Roby Paine, Abigail Paine, Noah Payne, and Aldrich Payne.
