Roxolani Paine was born at Jay, Maine about 1826, the daughter of Thomas Paine and Irena Conant.
Roxie married Israel Bean, Jr, on 30 Jan 1848 in Jay, Maine. They were the parents of three known sons.
The 1850 US census for Jay, Maine lists residents Israel Bean (31), a farmer, his wife Roxey [sic] (23) and their son George H (1). Israel owns real estate valued at $600.
The 1860 US census for Jay, Maine lists residents Israel Bean (42), a farmer, his wife Roxalana [sic] (32), and their sons George H (10), a student, Perley (3) and Edgar (1). Israel owns real estate valued at $1000 and a personal estate of $600. He lives next door to his brother Dudley Bean.
The 1870 US census for Jay, Maine lists residents Israel Bean (51), a farmer, his wife Roxanna [sic] (43), Perley (14) and Edna (11). Israel owns real estate valued at $700 and has a personal estate valued at $300. His brother Isaiah C Bean (38) lives on one side of him and his brother Dudley Bean (53) lives on the other side. Note: Edna, identified as a female, is actually their son Edgar, incorrectly identified on this report by name and sex.
Roxolani died in 1875 and is buried at the Jay Hill Cemetery, Jay, Maine.
