Biography
Mary was born in 1792. She was the daughter of Barnett Paine and Nancy (surname unverified). In 1809 she married William Reid Jr. They had 6 known children. They lived in Burke/Caldwell County, NC throughout their lives. It is here she passed away in 1840. According to the 1850 mortality index she died of cancer. It is believed she may have been buried at the family homestead.
