Biography
Elizabeth (Paine) Sayles was born in 1738. She was the daughter of Benjamin Paine and Amey Mowry.
She married Jonathan Sayles.
Together, they were the parents of Rachel Wilbur, Mary Sayles, Alice Sayles, Amey "Ame" Sayles, Benjamin Sayles, Elizabeth Sayles, Gideon Sayles, Israel Sayles, David Sayles, Jonathan Sayles, Welcome Sayles, and Hannah Sayles.
Her will is dated 25 August 1814 and proved on 28 January 1815 in Smithfield, Rhode Island.[1] She mentions her daughters, Alice Southwick, Rachel Wilbur, Hannah Mowry (and her daughter Mary Mowry). She mentions her daughter-in-law Aurila Sayles, wife of Welcome Sayles.
