Harriet was born in 1816 and christened with her sister Mary on 29 March 1821 at Tottenham Court Chapel, Tottenham Court Road, London, Middlesex[1]. She is the daughter of Robert Paine, shoemaker of Marylebone and Mary Brock.
On 15 September 1839 at the parish church at St Pancras, Middlesex, Harriet married gas manufacturer, John Walker[2].
