Research Notes

Additional information that would be useful to find:

  • Primary birth record
  • An unrestricted access marriage record
  • Middle name (almost certainly "Washington", but it would good to have evidence)
  • The two unrecorded children
  • A photo

Merger Notes

Painter-2760, a clear duplicate, was merged into Painter-1939 and the following changes were made in the original Painter-1939 during the merge:

  • The middle name was changed from Washington to W. It probably is Washington, but no source for that was found.
  • The birth location was changed from Randolph County, West Virginia to Amherst County, Virginia per the marriage source. Painter-1939 had used the Randolph County reference found in the death record of daughter Bessie R.[11]

George was born in 1838. He passed away in 1914.

Painter-4270 and Painter-1939 appear to represent the same person because: Hi I am new to WikiTree and saw this match when creating my geo Painter, but couldn't add directly but I’m sure this is the same guy
