Jane (Painter) Nancarrow was born in Cornwall, England.

Jane was born about 1784. She was probably the daughter of Thomas Painter and Grace Quarme.

John Nancarrow and Jane Painter, both of Grampound, were married on 25 Dec 1805 at Creed, Cornwall.[1]

The children of John and Jane Nancarrow were:

  • Mary Nancarrow born 24 Nov 1806 at Creed
  • William Teague Nancarrow born 15 Nov 1808 at Grampound
  • John Nancarrow born 15 Feb 1810 at Grampound
  • Philippa Nancarrow born 23 Oct 1811 at Grampound, buried 15 Dec 1813
  • Kitty Pardew Nancarrow born 24 Nov 1813 at Grampound
  • Philippa Nancarrow born 19 Jul 1815 at Grampound
  • Michael Nancarrow born 29 Sep 1817 at Grampound
  • Robert Quarme Nancarrow born 23 Nov 1819 at Grampound
  • Thomas Nancarrow born 12 Dec 1821 at Grampound
  • James Nancarrow born about 1825 at Grampound

They appear in the 1841 census, with with two of their sons, in the household of their son in law and daughter, Richard and Kitty Mannel.[2]

Jane the wife of John Nancarrow died on 4 Dec 1848 at Grampound. [3] She was buried at Creed on 5 Dec 1848.[4]
