I've been on Ancestory.com for several years and decided it's time to branch out. I've had my DNA done and uploaded to wikitree and gedmatch. I have to wait to upload my tree because wikitree is currently performing an upgrade.
My first goal is to find my mother's birth family. I have found her birth mother by having the records unsealed, but I'm currently guessing on the birth father since he wasn't listed. My guess is based on DNA and I've been in touch with a close match from that side and more family members are being tested to determine which relative is my grandfather. Hopefully that will happen in the next few weeks.
My second goal is to further learn about my Scottish ancesters. My father's side goes straight back to Paisley, Scotland. I would like to know more about the history.
My next goal is to help my husband determine his family line. Due to lack of records and information it's very hazy.
During these processes I hope to make new friends and maybe I can help somebody along the way!

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. You can always find a link that works in the public comments on your profile.
It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to Private w/ Public Biography & Family Tree to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see How to DNA on WikiTree
Here's a great YouTube video with all sorts of questions answered Getting Started with DNA.

You may be interested in our WikiTree Adoption Angels Project.
You can also use the Help menu in the upper right corner of every page to get to the G2G Forum to ask questions about how to use WikiTree in your adoption search, or find some basic adoption search help here.
By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you, AND adding your branches and working to source and confirm that information will get you closer to the end of your search.
Thanks, Cindy
