Biography
Lucy (Palfreeman) Scott was born in Yorkshire, England.
Lucy was born in Askham Richard, Yorkshire, England (a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of City of York) in 1799. She was the daughter of William Palferman and Elizabeth Simpson. She was baptized on July 28, 1799, in Askham Richard.[1]
Although no record was found, family history indicates Lucy married Joseph Scott in Askham Richard on April 9, 1825. It appears the couple had at least four children. Lucy and Joseph were enumerated in the 1841 census [2] residing in Pontefract, Yorkshire. Four children at residence ages nine to under one year old.
Lucy passed away in 1846.[3] Her death was registered in the fourth quarter in York. She was buried on October 8th in Askham Richard. [4]
