Biography

Leroy Elmer Palmer was born in Perry County, Ohio and was raised in Blackford County, Indiana , where he lived with his parents, Samuel Hamilton Palmer, and Mary (Polly) Balsley Palmer. He is listed as 16 years of age in the 1850 U.S. census in said county. The next record of him is the 1880 U.S. census that shows him living in Richardson County, Nebraska.
