  • S153 Personal E-Mail (Bette Steward in GA), Diary & Letters, 3 generations of Dyers from Herkimer & Oswego Co., NY. Bessie Ackley, 1884-1977, of Norway, Herkimer County, was the town historian for years, and she is the one who worked on the family history for our Tillinghast-Ackley line, in Herkimer County, NY. I have inherited a copy of her work, also. She and I are/were "first cousins-twice removed."
