Data from great granddaughter, Charlotte Palmer. Habersham County became White County in 1857. Burial: Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Lumpkin Co. GA near Shoal Creek Community

Silas enjoyed music and played the fiddle. He was in reasonably good health and died at the ripe old age of 98 years.
Burial: Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 Cemetery near Cleveland, Georgia in Lumpkin, County as was Nancy, his wife, who died 10 years before him.
