Biography

Philip was born about 1710. He was the son of John Palmer and Rebecca Baxter.

He married 1729 in Westchester Co., New York, Sarah Hunt.

Philip died circa 1785.

Sarah, his widow, accompanied her son Jonathan to Shelburne, Nova Scotia and then to Bedeque Harbour, Prince Edward Island.

  2. Gideon, b. 29 Oct 1749, m. Catherine Harper, d. 6 Oct 1824 in Saint John, New Brunswick.
  3. Sarah, b. 1750.
  4. Jonathan, b. 1753, m. Sarah Jones, d. after 1810 in Prince Co., Prince Edward Island.
  5. John, b. 1756, mentioned in his maternal grandfather's will, remained in the USA to become a judge in the United States Supreme Court.
  6. Elvin, b. 1760.
  7. Thomas, b. 1762, m. Margaret Secord, d. 27 Nov 1844 in Hampton, Kings Co., New Brunswick.
