"A TRIBUTE OF RESPECT.

"At a meeting of the Directors of the Delaware County Mutual Insurance Company held this day at their office the following resolution was offered and unanimously adopted, viz:

"Whereas, By the dispensation of Providence, Charles Palmer, a Director of this company since August 11th, 1853, being one of the first elected, has been removed by death, therefore. Resolved, that in the death of Charles Palmer the company has lost one of its most faithful and efficient officers and society a useful member. Active and energetic in the discharge of his duties, moderate and conscientious in his counsel, prompt and constant in his attendance at our meetings and pleasant in his Intercourse with his fellow members, his absence will bo noted and his loss felt. His helping hand was ever ready for those who were needy and his death will be mourned by many to whom his unostentatious kindness had been extended when struggling in the toils of adversity.

To the widow and children we extend our heartfelt sympathy, and direct that these resolutions be placed upon the minutes and a copy thereof be transmitted to the family.

Attest:— EDWARD A PRICE. Secretary. "
