William Palmer served in the Was of 1812 as a private in Capt. James A. Black's Company of Infantry, Third (Roulston's) Regiment, West Tennessee Militia from - 13, 1914 to May 13, 1815. Records indicate that this Regiment was in expedition to New Orleans, the transporatation paid on the baggage of William Palmer from Wharton, La., to Tennessee.
