• Joyce (Palmer) Doyle Wilber, 92, died, Sunday, October 1, 2006, at the Meriden Center.
• She was the beloved wife of her first husband, Alton E. Doyle, and her second husband, Arlon Wilber (m. 1969).
• She was born Oneonta, NY, March 20, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Nash) Palmer, and had been a Wallingford resident for 65 years.
• She had been employed by Unimax Switch Company in Wallingford, and then by White Way Laundry until her retirement.
• She was a very active member of Yalesville United Methodist Church, where she was member of the Bell Choir and the Yalesville United Methodist Women. Mrs. Wilber was a member of the Wallingford Senior Center, AARP, the Genealogy Society, and the Dizzy Dolls of Wallingford Bowling League.
• She is survived by her daughter, ... of Middletown; her two sons, ...; her step daughter, .....; her eight grandchildren, ...; her seven great grandchildren, ....; her brother, Donald Palmer of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
• Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her grandson, Edward Biafore; her son-in-law, Edward Biafore; her two sisters, Floris Vroman and Irene Springett; and her two brothers, Entler Palmer and Keith Palmer.
• Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville section of Wallingford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Yalesville United Methodist Church. Rev. Eric Fjeldal, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Yalesville United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8 New Place Street, Yalesville, CT, 06492.
