Leonie Paquette was born in Ottawa in 1868. She was the daughter of Honore Paquette and Marie Hermenie Vanier. She married Albert Dion in Ottawa in 1891.
Chief mourners were her husband, Albert Dion; her sons, Lionel Dion, Raoul Dion, Edgar Dion, and Colbert Dion; her daughters Mrs. J. G. Russel, Sherbrooke, Que, Mrs. Napoleon Peloquin, Montreal, and Miss Yvette Dion, Ottawa; her sisters Mrs. A, Morency, and Mr. David Morin; her brother, L. Paquette.
