Biography

Benjamin was born in about 1760 and was christened on 8 Jun 1760 at St. James', Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England the son of Joseph Paradice and Susan Davis [1][2]

Benjamin married Miriam Newman on 1 or 2 Aug 1781, at Saint Thomas, Salisbury, Wiltshire. He was single and 21 years of age. [3]), to Miriam Newman (age 20, single[4])[5][6]The marriage register stated that he was a Batchelor of this Parish and she was a spinster of this parish [7].

Benjamin was probably a member of the Sandemanian or Glasite church in Trowbridge, because he named his son John Glas Paradise. He then moved to London and joined the Sandemanian church there.

Benjamin was admitted into membership of the London Sandemanian Church on 1May 1787 according to the membership records. The records state that he was Ex Oct 28 1788 [8] which means he was excluded from fellowship in 1788. His wife Miriam Paradise joined at the same time,
