Biography

Marie Anne Parent was born in Manitoba on Sept. 17, 1914. The Labossiere book states Somerset, but her birth record states St. Norbert. She is a daughter of Pierre Parent and Ernestine Cailler.

Marie Anne Parent married Joseph Alexis Labossiere at Somerset, MB. on Sept. 20, 1934. He was the fifth child of 14 and the second of six sons of Arthur Labossiere and Amanda Marie Labossiere. Joseph and Marie Anne lived out their days at Somerset and had eight children there, five girls and three boys, born between 1935 - 1948.

Alexis died at Somerset, MB. on Nov. 11, 1960 and he is buried there in the Somerset Cemetery. Marie Anne Parent - Labossiere died at Somerset on Aug. 9, 1993 and she was laid to rest by Alexis.
