Biography

Isaac and Eliza were married on 30 April 1829, by Rev. Michael Swing. They were both living in Millville, N.J. at the time.^[1]

They had eight children:

1. Zachariah F. Jerrell 1832 – 1894
2. Samuel A. Jerrell 1832 – 1900
3. Amanda Jerrell 1834 – 1904
4. Harriet "Hattie" Jerrell 1837 - 1900
5. John P. Jerrell 1839 – 1902
6. Isaac F. Jerrell 1845 – 1910^[2][3]
7. Joseph S. Jerrell 1848 – 1915
8. Eliza Lydia Jerrell 1850 – 1920

She was widowed in 1858 and never remarried.

In 1860, she was enumerated in Fairfield Township with only $20 in personal estate, living with children Joseph (13) and Eliza (9). Son Samuel is next door with his wife and two daughters.

On 11 Oct 1885, she was enumerated in Fairfield, Cumberland, New Jersey, aged over 60 years.^[4]

Eliza died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Cedarville, New Jersey.^[5]

Elizabeth Jerrell is buried in Swing Cemetery, Fairton, Cumberland, New Jersey. Cannot locate a findagrave profile for her there.
