Hollyberry was born in 1778. She was the daughter of John Parham and Mary Dickson. She passed away in 1840.[1]
HOLEBERRY PARHAM m: ? Hicks
Though spelled as above in John's will, I believe the name was actually "Hollyberry", which is a rather unique cognomen. I think there is little doubt that her husband was David Hicks, who appears in both Granville and Elbert Counties. David Hicks was also a witness to the will of Holeberry's father, John Sr., so it is logical to assume that he may have been a son-in-law. Brother Dickson also married into the Hicks family in 1807. The Hickses were neighbors of the Parhams on Tabbs Creek in North Carolina and also in Elbert County, Georgia. [2]In a pear tree : the story of some of the Parhams in that tree
