Biography
Barwise was born about 1899 In Keswick[1]
In 1901 the family lived at Sherburn Terrace, Consett [2] They were incorrectly transcribed as Parks.[3]
He is listed in the 1911 census living at 31 Taylor Street, Consett with his family.[4]
There is a marriage record for Barwise Park and Elisabeth Grisdale about November 1921, probably in Consett as the registration was in Lanchester.[5] It is possible they were cousins as his mother was a Grisdale. There are no records yet found for children in this marriage but there is a record of an Elizabeth Park who died age 26 in 1925 in Sunderland.[6]
There is a second marriage about May 1926 also registered in Lanchester where Barwise Park married Christina E. Unsworth.[7] They had two children, June born about June 1930[8] and Irene about August 1932,[9]
He died about December 1955 in Consett.[10] He was buried in Blackhill cemetary, Consett on 4 January 1956.[11]
