Mary Park, daughter of Roger Park and Charlotte (Strang) Park, born in 1724; died probably in Rye, Westchester County, New York, 28 May 1809, age 85; buried next to her husband in the Purdy Burying Ground, Rye; member of the Rye Episcopal Church; married before 1750 (based on birth of son Roger), Joshua Purdy (1721-1800).

On 11 June 1768, Mary is mentioned in her father, Roger Park's Will. "All the rest of my movable estate I leave to my four daughters, Charlotte Haviland, Mary, wife of Joshua Purdy, Sophia, wife of Nehemiah Brown, and Elizabeth, wife of Moses Huestis."[1][2]

The Will of Mary Purdy of Rye, County of Westchester, New York, dated 21 Jul 1808 mentions: son Roger Purdy (deceased), his wife Anna and his daughters Polly Purdy, Sally Purdy, Nancy Purdy, and Hannah Purdy; son Joshua Purdy, his wife Sally and his daughters Polly Purdy, Elizabeth Barker, Sally Purdy, Hetty Morgan, Deborah Purdy, and Harriet Purdy; son Joseph Purdy, his wife Letty and his daughters Polly Baley, Anna Quick, Letty Brown, and Rachel Purdy. Her Will was proven 3 June 1809.[3]
