Peter Parker is the son of Solomon Dimmit Parker and Mary Ann (Taylor) Parker.
The death of Rev. Peter Parker occurred Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lucy Teter, in Hannibal. The reverend gentleman was 87 years of age and his death was due to general debility. For many years Rev. Parker resided about seven miles east of Moberly and filled the pulpit at Milton and other charges. Burial was made today at Ash. (The rest of the paragraph is illegible.) Two sons and five daughters survive this good man and to them his memory will be a source of encouragement in christian living, as was his life while here. The sons are R. A. and A. P. Parker, both of whom are missionaries to China. The former was at his father's bedside when the death occurred, while the latter is in the foreign mission field. The daughters are Mrs. Lucy Teter, of Hannibal; Mrs. C. F. Boatman and Mrs. Maggie Embree, of Moberly; Mrs. Kate Wilcox, Kansas City; Mrs. Julia Fifer and Mrs. Mellie Lilly, Leesburg. The sympathy of our people is extended to this grief-stricken family. [1]
