Gertrude m. 2nd, James Parker, son of Sergeant William Parker, the Court Messenger, who, on Dec.13, 1677, apprenticed James to Hendrick Bries, master shoemaker for two years. James was then seventeen years old. James Parker was frequently mentioned in the Albany records, and Albany County Census of June 6, 1697[1] listed him as "English" and unmarried. No trace of any children have been found.
After 1709, his name dropped from Albany rolls. James Parker was dead by 1717 when his widow was mentioned in the City Records.
