Biography

Lemuel Parker was born about 1810.

In 1850 Lemuel was living in Windsor, Bertie, North Carolina, United States. Others in his household included: Windsor, Bertie, North Carolina, United States; citing family , NARA microfilm publication (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.). Elizabeth Parker, wife; Robert Parker, son, Mary E Parker, daughter ; Martha J. Parker, daughter; Nazareth Parker son; Elizabeth Nancy Parker; Joseph S. Parker, son; Rhoda Parker, daughter. [1]

In 1860 Lemuel Parker was 50 years old living in Bertie, North Carolina, United States. Others listed in his household include: Elizabeth Parker, wife, 47 James R Parker, son, 22 Martha J Parker, daughter, 21 Nazareth W Parker, son, 18 Elizabeth Parker, daughter 16 Joseph Parker, son, 14 Margaret Parker, daughter, 13 Matilda Parker, daughter, 12 [2]

Lemuel Parker died after 1860. He died intestate and his youngest son Joseph became Administer of his estate. In a document dated 7 September 1891 the Superior Court of Bertie County determined Lemuel Parker's estate was valued at $12.80 and that James R. Parker, Martha J. Harrell (Parker), Margaret O. Pratt (Parker), N.W. Parker, Nancy E. Harrell (Parker), Roda A. Lassiter (Parker) and Joseph Parker are entitled as heirs and distributees.

Lemuel b. 1810 - estate settled by son, Joseph S. Parker in 1893 (no death date as yet documented)
NOTE: We have another Isaac Parker b. 1690 Va. m. Eliz Small who had a Lemuel b.1715 m. Temperance. They had Saul who had David who had Lemuel b. 1790 (also Northampton) who married Elizabeth Carpenter (not ours.)

Lemuel's youngest son was Joseph S. Parker of Snakebite, NC whose direct descendants lead to Hope Plantation in Windsor, NC. Joseph S. Parker's brother, James Robert Parker, b. 1837 was my 3rd ggfather. (He married Ellen E. Harrell)

I believe Lemuel (b 1780)'s father was Lemuel Parker, b. 1760 to Isaac and Susannah Parker of Northampton Co.
