Lemuel Parker died after 1860. He died intestate and his youngest son Joseph became Administer of his estate. In a document dated 7 September 1891 the Superior Court of Bertie County determined Lemuel Parker's estate was valued at $12.80 and that James R. Parker, Martha J. Harrell (Parker), Margaret O. Pratt (Parker), N.W. Parker, Nancy E. Harrell (Parker), Roda A. Lassiter (Parker) and Joseph Parker are entitled as heirs and distributees.
Lemuel's youngest son was Joseph S. Parker of Snakebite, NC whose direct descendants lead to Hope Plantation in Windsor, NC. Joseph S. Parker's brother, James Robert Parker, b. 1837 was my 3rd ggfather. (He married Ellen E. Harrell)
