Roy was born in 1904. He was the son of Martha Sophia Baylis and John Parker.
Roy married Thelma Olive Coley in 1933 in Palmerston North. They had at least two children.
His name was published in the New Zealand, World War II Ballot Lists (1940-1945). He was living at 1 Hillary Street, Foxton at the time, employed as a Baker.
He passed away in 1982 at the age of 77 and was buried on 20 August 1982 at Foxton Cemetery, Cnr Hickford And Avenue Road, Foxton, New Zealand[1][2]. Location in Cemetery: Lawn Block 2 Plot 779
