WWI
Frank was injured while serving in the First World War. The newspaper reported: "Mrs. A. Parker, of the Railway Hotel, Burnham, has received a letter from her son Frank, a trooper in the Royal Horse Guards, in which he says he is in hospital with both feet smashed by bursting shrapnel."[2]
