Free Groves Parker served with the rank of a private for Massachusetts with Capt. Nathaniel Gage. His first wife Susanna Hardy and second Elizabeth Burbank Carlton. A son James b. married Elizabeth surname unknown. [3]

He died 10 Feb 1842 at Bucksport, Hancock, Maine, Æ 86y 11m; he was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Bucksport, Hancock, Maine.

Susannah Hardy was born on 28 Feb 1759. She died on 17 Apr 1817 at age 58.

Free Groves re-married Betsey (Burbank) Carlton, the widow of Enos Carlton June 3, 1818.[4][5]

Mass Vital Records gives child viii the name of "Retire", Free Groves brother was named "Retier", I suspect that is the correct spelling.

MVR also gives Hannah (child x) a birth year of 1797.
