William was born in Billerica May 31, 1757[1]
Marriage: (Carlisle VR) William, of Billerica, and Lucy Spaulding, int.Sept.22,1780.[2]
While he is of the right age to have fought in the revolution, there is no William Parker of Carlisle listed in Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors of the Revolution.
Family Search[3] conflates this William with a William Parker from North Carolina or Virginia who fought with the militia in the revolution and received a land grant in Tennesee[4]. While the children listed in Family Search appear accurate, the Tennesee bit does not survive a cursory glance. Taking a closer look at that profile, that William has overlapping wives and children, the wrong birth date, birth place and, with his third wife, has a son that was born in 1750 - before he was.
