Charles was born in Crigglestone (a village and civil parish in the City of Wakefield) on July 13, 1909. [1] He was the son of John Parker and Lucy Hargate. He was baptized on July 28, 1909, in Wakefield, at St James Chapelthorpe.[2] He was enumerated in the 1911 census [3] as a one year old residing with his family in Crigglestone.
Charles married Ellen Vodkonskie -schneider in 1930.[4] The ceremony was performed on August 2nd, in Wakefield, at St James Chaplethorpe. [5] According to the Parish Register, Charles was a twenty year old bachelor and "Coke Over Laborer" residing at Painthorpe Lane, Criggleston. His father was named as John Parker "Farm Laborer". Ellen was a nineteen year old spinster residing at Painthorpe Lane, Crigglestone. Her father was named as Alexander Vodkonskie, "Coke Over Laborer".
No definitive record for Charles found until his death in 1975.[6] His death was registered in the third quarter in Wakefield. He was sixty six.
