He and Minnie Marguerite Doyle were married on 26 May 1946 in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska at the First Christian Church. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Wayne Greene. Their wedding announcement said that David Allen Parker had recently been discharged from the Army Air Force after serving for a little over three years. He had been deployed to Korea for three months.[8][9] They were the parents of at least four children. (The children may still be living so are not mentioned by name in this profile to preserve their privacy.)[10][2]

On 03 April 1946, David Allen Parker completed a World War II Draft Registration Card on which he stated he was a discharged veteran. He named his mother, Mrs. O. T. Parker, as the person who would always know his address.[1]

David Allen Parker passed away on 14 April 2012, possibly in Tescott, Ottawa County, Kansas. (Note: His FindAGrave memorial says his place of death was Tescott, but no other records were located to verify this.) He was buried in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott, Ottawa County, Kansas. A double stone marks the graves of him and his wife.[11][2]
