Birth and Parents: Robert Searcy Parker was born on 23 January 1931 in Jackson, Clarke County, Alabama, United States.[1] His parents were Searcy Metzger Parker (1896-1984) and Minnie Maybelle (Barrow) Parker (1901 - 1971).[2][3]

Marriage and Family: Robert was married to Harriette Speer. Harriette passed away in 2011. He was married at least once before his marriage to Harriette, but to whom is not known by this researcher. He was the father of at least two children who are potentially still living so are not mentioned by name here.[3]

Military Service: From his obituary: "He was a medical corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1950 till 1954, serving with the Navy Frogmen UDT (now known as SEALS) during the Korean War."[3]

Occupation and Other Activities: From his obituary: "He was a quality assurance specialist for the U.S. Air Force at Lockheed in Marietta from 1965 until his retirement in 1982...Formerly a member of Vinings First Baptist Church in Smyrna, he is currently a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville; Holiday Rambler Recreational Club; the Family Motorcoach Association, and the Southern Baptists Campers on Mission."[3]

Death and Burial: Robert Searcy Parker passed away on 02 October 2005 at his home in Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia. He was 74 years old.[1] His remains were interred in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia.[3][5]
