Mary P. Parker June 3, 1932 - July 16, 2014
Services for Mary P. Parker will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Burial will follow in Campbell Creek Cemetery.
The family requests that visitation be observed the funeral home, Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be John Clay, Christopher Clay, Joseph Holyfield, Josh Frazier, Mike Clay and Parker Frazier.
Mrs. Parker, 82, of Gardner passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Church of God. She did a lot of volunteer work after retiring, especially at the Red Cross. Mrs. Parker was a graduate of LSUA. She also enjoyed history, so she published 4 Books about the cemetery records for Rapides Parish, called “Gone But not Forgotten.”
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Fraziar, Sr. and Sam A. Partain, Sr.; parents, Arthur E. and Beulah Jackson Parker; five siblings and one granddaughter, Angela Dunning.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jack Frazier, Jr., William Parker Fraziar and wife, Jolene; daughters, Mary Clay and husband, John, Jeannie Fraziar; sister, Lura P. Larkin and husband, Don; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
