Biography

Samuel is the son of John and Margaret (McBride) Park. Samuel described his home in Union Township, Licking County, Ohio in Pioneer Paper # 5, Notes of the early history of Union Township, Licking County, Park, Samuel, b. 1810.

In 1860, their children George, Mary Ellen, Samuel, Alvin, and Althea Jane were still in the household.^[1]

Samuel, 59, and Letha, 59, Park lived in Illinois in 1870 with other family members: John Park 38, Lavina A Park 30, Willis H Park 15, Hattie Park 7, Charles 4 and Clara Park 2.^[2]

In 1880, Samuel and Letha, both 69, lived in Marshall, Clark, Illinois, United States. Their 14 year old grandson, Wesley Park, was living with them. Samuel was a retired farmer. ^[3]
