John Ross Parks was born December 19, 1833 in the Cherokee Nation (East). He was the son of Samuel Parks, a white man, and Susannah Taylora Cherokee woman. [1] He appears with his mother on the 1851/52 Siler/Chapman rolls. [2] He never married or had children. John died in the Idaho Territory about 1869. [3]
