Biography

Amelia was born October 28, 1781 in Woodruff, South Carolina, to Thomas Nathaniel Parks and Nancy Ann Brockman.

She married Lunsford Hudson. They had 14 children.

Amelia married Lunsford Hudson on 12 March 1797 in Greenville district. South Carolina. Amelia was an industrious and frugal wife, a fitting helpmeet for her husband. She spun and wove her own wedding dress, a very pretty fabric for that period.She was a consistent member of the Baptist church. Citation #3

She passed away in January 14, 1863, and is buried in The Hudson Family Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina.
