The funeral service of Mrs. Mary Divan, who died here Friday at the advanced age of 84 years were held at Fallsburg, Sunday forenoon, conducted by her pastor. Rev. W.S. Chapman of the M.E. Church. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Varner of Fallsburg and Mrs. A.D. Larason of this place; two sons, George Divan, with whom she lived and Septimus Divan of Coshocton.
Margaret's husband, Samuel Divan died in Andersonville Prison, Oct. 1, 1864, during the Civil War. She was left with 8 children, ranging in age from 17 to 2.
