Maud (or Magdalen) Parr, was the wife of Sir Ralph Lane; [1] Maud grew up with her cousin Catherine Parr, who later became the last queen of King Henry VIII. She became a lady-in-waiting and was among the queen's close circle. Maud would become a lifelong friend and confidante of the queen.[2] She was with her cousin as Dowager queen and was one of her ladies at Sudeley Castle.[3]
The couple had three sons and seven daughters, including Laetitia, Robert, Ralph, Frances, Mary, Jane, Dorothy, Katherine, and William.
She continued to live at Horton after her eldest son Robert came of age and was licensed to enter his lands 26 Apr 1548. He lived at Hogshaw, Bucks, and was living there in 1553. I doubt she died in London & she prob. d. 1558/9 not 1562.[4]
Maud was born about 1560. She passed away about 1562.
