By March 30th 1851, Thomas was living in the household of widowed farmer Margaret Vose in Eccleston, and working as an agricultural labourer.
By April 7th 1861, Thomas was living with his mother at 6 Gracious Street, Eccleston, and working as an agricultural labourer.
Thomas married Hannah Vose on 18 Oct 1865 at Christ Church in Eccleston, Lancashire, by licence. Both were of full age (21 or more) and living in Eccleston, and neither had been married before; Thomas was a farmer. Their fathers were named as John Parr (tailor) and William Vose (farmer). The witnesses were William Spencer and Alice Billings.
