Note: On his Find a Grave Memorial, He enlisted May 10, 1862, "Co K 60th GA Infantry". He died 23 December 1862, while serving at Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia. He died of disease in the Confederate Hospital there.
In 1869, a 90-foot high granite pyramid was built as a memorial to the more than 18,000 enlisted men of the Confederate Army buried in the Hollywood Cemetery at Richmond.
