Biography

Oliver Parris was born in 1835 in Georgia, United States.

His parents were Nathaniel Parris and Elizabeth Mahon.

He married Elizabeth Bartlett on November 26, 1855 in Paulding, Georgia, United States[1]

Annie Elizabeth Paris (1856–1937)

Sarah M. Paris (1860–1915)

In 1850, he is living in Cobb, Georgia, United States with parents, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, siblings, Nancy, James, Sarah, Martha, Richard, Noah, Abner, boarder/relative, Elizabeth Mahon,[2]

He died on December 23, 1862 in Richmond, Virginia, United States[3]

Note: On his Find a Grave Memorial, He enlisted May 10, 1862, "Co K 60th GA Infantry". He died 23 December 1862, while serving at Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia. He died of disease in the Confederate Hospital there.

In 1869, a 90-foot high granite pyramid was built as a memorial to the more than 18,000 enlisted men of the Confederate Army buried in the Hollywood Cemetery at Richmond.
