George was born in 1838. He was the son of Eli Hobbs Parrish and Eliza George Reeves. He passed away in 1922. [1]

George Parrish served as a Sergeant in the Confederate States Army, in Company B of the 3rd Battalion of the North Carolina Light Artillery. (See https://www.nps.gov/civilwar/search-battle-units-detail.htm?battleUnitCode=CNC0003BAL for details of the unit's service in the Civil War.)
