(beginning at the white gum by Clap's grave), during life; after their decease, to her son THOMAS NORRISS and heirs; he dying without issue, to revert to grandson JOHN STEWARD and heirs; he failing issue, to daughters MARY and ANNE PARRISH and their heirs. To MARY PARRISH and heirs, residue of last-named tract; she dying without issue, to son EDWARD and heirs. To son EDWARD and heirs, in addition to his interest in aforesaid tracts, 50 A. "Hogg harbour," bought of Samuel Harrison, the heir of Robert Lockwood; 50 A. "Lockwood's park," 33 A. "Lockwood's great park," 44 A. "Hogg Harbour," to be sold to Joseph Pratt for benefit of estate, also "Locust Neck." To son JOHN and heirs, part of "Parish's Range," Baltimore County, below John Wooden's, and 120 A. "Parrish Fear." To daughter ANN and heirs, residue of "Parrish's Fear"; she dying without issue, to sons JOHN and WILLIAM. To son WILLIAM and heirs, 800 A. of "Parish's Range." To kinsman MATTHEW HAWKINS and heirs, 150 A. "Parish's Range," and personalty. To JACOB DUHADWAY, personalty, on condition he allow certain legacies to his children, viz. grandchild EDWARD, JACOB (at age of 21) and to MARGARET and MARY at decease of their mother. To MARY NOLAND and cousins EDWARD (son of WILLIAM PARRISH) at age of 21, EDWARD (son of JOHN PARISH) and JOHN STEWARD, personalty. To JOHN AVERY and JOHN HEDDIN, personalty when free. Son EDWARD to let George White stay where he is seated conditionally; son WILLIAM to be kept at school from 10 to 18 years of age; sons EDWARD and JOHN to repair the graves of testator's mother and 2 sisters; JOHN STEWARD to repair the graves of FRANCIS BUTLER and ROBERT CURTIS. Residue of estate 1/3 to wife and 2/3 to 5 children, viz. EDWARD, JOHN, WILLIAM, ANN, and MARY, equally. Executors: Wife and sons EDWARD and JOHN. Overseers: Richard Galloway, Sr. and Jr., and William Richardson, Sr. "Kinsman MATTHEW HAWKINS" was his brother-in-law, the husband of two of Edward Parrish's sisters. He married first, Edward's sister Anne, who died before 1695, and second, Edward's sister Mary, who died in 1705.
