Sarah Jane was the daughter of Henry William Parry. [1]
In 1889 Sarah had been living in Preston, Lancashire and fell pregnant. The father is reputed to be Edmund Morse. Sarah Jane came back to Yorkley to baptise her daughter Dulcie (Morse) Evans and was noted to be a Single Woman. [2] At least 2 of Edmund's bothers had moved to Lancashire so it is perfectly possible they met there. Her daughter (known as Dulcie) was brought up by Edmund's siblings, John and then Minnie, who had no children of her own. Edmund himself went to America where he died of Malaria in 1890.
On 25 May 1893 she married Edwin Best in Bristol. [3]
It has not been possible to track down Sarah Jane in any other records except her daughter's baptism and marriage to Edwin. Two Sarah Parrys are born in the Forest of Dean area of Newnham around 1868/1869 but neither have a father called Henry. A lot of Sarah Jane Parrys around the Country did have a father called Henry and it has not been possible so far to identify which is this Sarah
