William was born in 1843, and he was baptised on 19 Nov 1843, at St Issey, Cornwall. He is the son of William Parsons and Tinley Docton.
In 1851, at age 7, William is living at Carlhew Mine, St Issey, Cornwall, England, with his parents, William age 42, Tinley age 39, and his siblings Emma age 14, Jane age 10 and Mary age 4.
On 3 Apr 1865, William married Mary Ann Vivian, at St Issey, Cornwall.
