On 21 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household David Parker (age 52, born Jun 1848 in KY) was employed as a Teamster and living in a home he rented in New Virginia, Kentucky with his wife, Leah Parker (age 31, born Nov 1869 in KY); daughter Bessie Parker (age 7, born Apr 1893 in KY); son Willard Parker (age 2, born Apr 1898 in KY); and son Frank Parker (age 14, born Sep 1886 in KY). David and Leah had been married for 12 years. Leah had given birth to five children, two of whom were still alive at that time. Both of David's parents were born in Kentucky. Leah's father was born in Virginia and her mother in Kentucky. [2]
