Caprius Parsons was born about 1840 to Becky Parsons. He lived at Somerset Plantation in Washington Co, NC. Cassius was a slave of Josiah Collins II. When Josiah Collins II died Cassius was placed on his probate inventory.[1]
Through the estate division Cassius Parsons went with his mother to Collins daughter, Louisa Collins, who married Thomas A. Harrison in Chowan Co, NC. After the marriage in 1842 they took their slaves and moved to Marengo Co, AL.[2][3]
