Biography

Hephzibah was born on 5 September 1863 in Kingsclere, Hampshire, England, the daughter of John Parsons and Keturah Clarke. [1]

In the 1871 census Hephzebah (age 7) was the daughter of John Parsons in Kingsclere, Hampshire, England.[2]

In the 1881 census Hephzibah (age 17), General Serv, was the servant of Edward Clark at 64 London Rd, Bromley, Kent, England.[3].

Hephzebah migrated to Australia aboard the "Duke of Buccleuch", arriving at Townsville, Queensland, Australia on 14 April 1883 but the vessel was quarantined due to there being cases of Measles on board [4][5].

She married William Henry Baxter on 24 July 1885 in Queensland, Australia [6] and their children were Eva Catherine Baxter, Henrietta May Baxter, Charles Isaac Baxter, Edward John Baxter, William Ralph Baxter, Hampden Denby Baxter and Edith Elizabeth Clare Baxter.

Hephzibah passed away on 15 February 1945 in Townsville, Queensland, Australia [7] and was buried in the West End Cemetery, West End, Townsville, Queensland, Australia[8] [9]
