Emily was born on the 16th September 1888[1][2] at Ide Hill near Sundridge, Kent, England and privately baptised on the 24th November 1888 and received into the church on the 9th December 1888 at St. Mary the Virgin, Ide Hill, Kent, England, the daughter of William Parsons (labourer) and Caroline Parsons of Mackerels Plain[1] .
On the 13th August 1913, Emily (aged 25 years) and her "husband" John Thomas Perrie (aged 26 years) emigrated aboard the "Victorian" destined for Quebec, Canada[3].

No marriage can be found in England/Wales/Scotland prior to their departure for Canada in 1913. It is possible that they married overseas/Ireland for some reason. Neither Emily Jane or John Thomas can be found in the 1911 census.
